Student Activities

In addition to fostering an incredible classroom experience, Tulane ensures that a great deal of learning takes place outside of the classroom.

Tulane has more than 200 student organizations represented on campus. They include a student government, pre-professional and multicultural organizations, media groups, performance groups, service organizations, education organizations, honor societies, fraternities, sororities, club and intramural sports, military groups and political organizations. This extensive list of activities, paired with a medium-sized undergraduate student population of 5,500, provides all Tulane students with the opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful difference in the community.

Our Office of Student Programs caters to all students' leadership development needs. The office helps Tulane students get the most out of the college experience by connecting them to relevant student organizations or helping them to start their own organization.

In addition to many University-sponsored activities, our student-run Campus programming organization can also be regarded for bringing some of the best musicians, artists, comedians and scholars onto campus. Rufus Wainwright, Lil' Wayne, Modest Mouse, Juvenile, and Vampire Weekend have recently played on Tulane's campus. The docket of guest speakers has included Barack Obama, Al Gore, Steve Jobs, John Legend, Jeffery Sachs, Toni Morrison, and Colin Powell.
